The Silhouette 2850C features an ingenious catalytic combustion system, which regulates the air/fuel mixture with precision through the burn cycle. Energy King's dual catalytic combustors ignite and burn gases, rather than allow them to exit the chimney as pollution. The burned gases add to the heat generated from your fuel, providing twice the heat.
Within the Silhouette Zero Clearance Wood Fireplace, heat retentive firebrick throughout the firebox and baffle system maintains high internal temperatures. The baffle system is specifically designed to ignite gases released from the wood and transform potential smoke into added heating value. Meanwhile, cool room air is continuously drawn into the base of the Silhouette, around the super-heated firebox, and then returned to the room, transferring maximum warmth and peak efficiency.
For even more heat output, a blower system is available.
